Andrea has always had a love of nature and all animals, but has spent most of her working life in the business world working in Retail, Sales, Hospitality and Customer Service Management before moving into Adult and Further Education in 1999. After a happy spell teaching, she made a huge decision to give it up to embark on a full time degree course in Wildlife and Countryside Conservation in 2006

Hilary has lived in St Fillans for 17 years, but had a holiday home here as a student nurse. She is a retired NHS nurse & is now a professional granny to 3 boys. Hilary considers St Fillans her spiritual home. She wants to help people get out into nature due to the mental & physical health benefits it brings.

Ruth has lived in the area for nearly 30 years - she’s been visiting since she was a child. She was a civil servant for many years, has worked with both young people & the elderly & now enjoys being a dog walker exploring our fabulous countryside. Ruth believes access to outdoor space or bringing the outside in for individuals unable to visit it themselves is vital both to mental & phy

Evelyn Schreiner

Ecologist

Evelyn fostered a passion for wildlife and animal behaviour from an early age, experimenting with trail cameras and nature photography, reading environmental literature, and eagerly consuming BBC nature documentaries. After immigrating from the US to the UK and completing her first year at Aberystwyth university as a wildlife conservation student, Evelyn relocated to Perthshire. With past training

Born and raised in the centre of Liverpool where wildlife was hard to come by, Terry started birdwatching at the age of 10. As with many people in the north-west of England, he was influenced by the great all-round naturalist Eric Hardy whose weekly newspaper column and radio broadcast opened up the world of nature for so many city dwellers. Fran has lived in the area for over 20 years. She has worked in Scotland and overseas on issues related to community health and equality. Fran loves spending time outdoors and can often be found up a mountain or exploring some corner locally where few people venture. She loves to share her passion for the outdoors with others and is delighted to join the Aquila team.
