Nature Mingle
Nature Mingle is a new exciting project which aims to bring nature indoors to those that are housebound! We are looking for both volunteers and participants for this innovative project.
How does the project work?
We will install cameras in gardens or suitable local wildlife areas that connect to a tablet and also an app on a smart phone - with alternatives for those with no wifi. This will let those who are housebound see wildlife and nature close to them and experience some of the joys of reconnecting with nature.
Who is it suitable for?
This is for people who are:
Housebound or with limited access to the outdoors
Have previously enjoyed wildlife and nature and miss being outdoors
Live in the Strathearn area of Perthshire
There are several ways to sign up:
Phone Fran on 07518958032

Or sign up here.
We have a simple form to complete - this can be completed by someone who wants to participate in the project directly or this can be someone completing the form on behalf of others.
What if I want to be a volunteer?
We are looking for volunteers too. People who are passionate about wildlife and nature and willing to share that passion with people who are housebound.
The role of a volunteer is to set up wildlife cameras and then provide regular support to those who are housebound. This will include helping project participants to access the video footage generated and, where appropriate, helping project participants to identify, record and share that information with a range of ‘citizen science projects’.
If you are not able to commit to volunteer on a regular basis, there may be other opportunities to support the project. We want to build up a sense of community around the ‘nature mingle’ concept. Just ask!
