Natural Narratives

Natural Narratives aims to bring together our Strathearn communities during the long, dark winter months to engage in activities and discussions focused on a variety of environmental topics. These events can include anything from informal discussions, educational speakers and presenters, film and documentary screenings, and more. We host our Natural Narratives events monthly from September to March. Our hope is that we all leave each session with new ideas about how each of us can make a difference for Scotland's wildlife, nature, and climate. We kindly ask for a minimum £5 donation to book a ticket for each event, and further donations are greatly appreciated to help cover our costs!

We started Natural Narratives back in September 2024. We’ve covered a great deal in that time, from screenings of ‘Why Not Scotland,’ ‘The Bough Breaks,’ ‘Serengeti Rules,’ 'Balancing the Scales,' 'Flow,' and 'Power Station,' to community discussions and talks on biodiversity, co-existing with beavers, regenerative agriculture, red squirrel monitoring, flood prevention, and wildlife rehabilitation. Given the positive community feedback, we will continue running Natural Narratives events for the 2026-2027 season, so keep an eye on our events page and our Eventbrite for upcoming events. We will also be posting updates on our socials. You can read about past natural narratives events through our blog.

If you have suggestions for topics you want to see included or are interested in speaking at one of our events, please contact us at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you!
